Grúpa Ceoil

Welcome to Grúpa Ceoil

Classes are held weekly in the school - usually on a Tuesday afternoon at 1.45pm. New musicians are welcome to come along with their instruments - if they are in Comhaltas it may be possible to borrow an instrument.

The basic set of tunes for this year are shown below. Where a tune name is highlighted you may click on it to open a page with the music notation and, if available, the music sound file for that tune. This will help you to practise between classes. For all tunes Music notation is shown as written scores and as note letters. For tunes indicated with an asterisk (*) the finger notation for the tin-whistle is also shown.
You should aim to learn to read the written music score as soon as possible.
